Country Boys and Girls...

Getting down on the farm! During the first part of the month of May, we headed to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point for Family Home Evening Activity for the kids. Thanksgiving point was having a "Meet the Baby Animals" Event. I knew that the kids would get a kick out of it because they love helping my dad on the "farm" when we visit. I have taken the kids to Farm Country before but Mark has never been able to come with us because he has been working. It was really fun to have him come with us!
Kaleb and Karmindy really enjoyed themselves. We all loved seeing and feeding the baby goats, horses, bunnies and ducks. Kaleb did want to have anything to do with feeding the animals and just admired from a far. He was a little timid. However, Karmindy got right in there and loved petting and feeding the animals. Karmindy has always had a special love for animals and she is really quite gentle and seems to understand them. She truly has a little tender heart when it comes to Heavenly Fathers creations.
After feeding some of the animals, we headed over to let the kids ride the horses. Kaleb chose the BIG horse and wasn't afraid at all. He rode his horse for quite awhile. Karmindy picked a small horse but lost interest in riding him half way through. I think she got a little nervous being up so high.

After the horse rides we went on a carriage ride as a family around the property. The kids loved it!

Mark and the Kids feeding the baby horse. This little horse was by far my favorite thing to see. He was so cute and so friendly. The kids loved feeding him, especially Karmindy. She would say, "He is soooo soft Momma!" I love this picture of Mark and the kids.
It was such a fun family outing and we can't wait to meet the Baby Animals next year!
