Highglights of Christmas!

I can't believe it has been a whole week since I have made a post on our blog! The past week has been a whirl wind of craziness for our little family. With gearing up and trying to prepare for Christmas Day and also trying to pack up and move our belongings from our twin home to our new home, I have had little time for much of anything, especially blogging! Our Christmas Eve this year was spent cleaning our new home (which I didn't mind to much because it is ours!). After cleaning, we were able to go home and find the time to make a few yummy things for dinner that evening to celebrate. After dinner, we let the kids open one present from us. We have started the tradition of giving the kids new pjs on Christmas Eve.

Here are a few pictures of the kids opening their new pjs:

Kaleb was so excited for Santa to come! We helped him set out some milk and cookies for the jolly old elf's visit. Kaleb tried to postpone going to bed for awhile but he finally gave up half way through the movie, "It's a wonderful life!"

Kaleb on Christmas Eve! He was so excited! He kept asking us if it was Christmas Time yet!
Here are a few picures Highlighting of our Christmas Morning:

After opening presents, I made Apple Pecan Pancakes for Breakfast! Yummy! We really enjoyed spending time together as a family on Christmas Day!

The rest of our Christmas Weekend we spent packing and unpacking! We were so grateful for some of the Elders in our Ward that helped Mark; as well as, Mark's Parents for helping us. We couldn't have done it with out everyone! It made the weekend not so long for us. It wasn't the best way to spend our Holiday weeked moving but we are so thankful to finally be in a home of our own and feel a little more settled here in Northern Utah.

Our New House!

Last Friday, we drove to American Fork in the snow storm to sign papers and close on our house. It was a stressful drive but we survived! Thankfully! Last night we were finally able to get the keys to our home! We cannot tell you all how excited we are to finally have a home to call our own. We are looking forward to making our new life in Riverton, Utah! We are also looking forward to feeling a little more settled after having such a hectic few months. We just wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We love you all! Merry Christmas!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!

The past month or so, Karmindy has been teething! It is amazing to me how each one of your children fares differently to this event. Kaleb never cried or even acted ornery or cranky. It just seemed like one day a bottom tooth appeared out of no where! With Karmindy, I started noticing that her bottom gums started swelling at the end of last month. I knew that our household would be in for a long month or so. Karmindy has been our dramatic baby and will alert everyone when she is not happy! (I am speculating it is a girl thing!) Since noticing her swelling gums, we have been monitoring them everyday and feeling them every so often to see how they have been doing. This last Sunday during Sacrament meeting, Mark was letting Karmindy chomp on his finger and he thought he could feel something but couldn't see anything. Then, last night she started chomping on Marks finger again and her two bottom teeth had broken through! Poor thing to get her two bottom teeth at the same time. Even though she has been cranky, she has been a trooper! I am glad that we got our wish for Karmindy this Christmas and that is: "Her two front teeth!"

Here is our little ankle biter~

I tried and tried to get a picture of her little chompers but she won't allow anyone to see them!

You gotta love and admire the slobbery drool down her little pink p.j.'s!

Karmindy is 7 Months Old!

Wow! Mark and I can't believe that Karmindy is 7 months old this month! Where is the time going? Time seems to really be flying by. As parents, we are trying to savor each milestone Karmindy is coming to. She is really becoming a fast learner. It seems like once she has mastered something she is off trying to do something new. It is very bitter-sweet for us because our little girl is growing up.
Some of Karmindys achievements this month have been rolling over to where she wants to be. Also, while she is on her tummy she has been pushing herself with her arms to maneuver her body to reach things that we set around her. The past few weeks, I will set her in the middle of our living room to play and I will run upstairs or in the other room for something and when I come back she has rolled over to our Christmas tree and is patting the presents that are placed under it! Just the last several days, she has been pulling her knees up under her! I think it will only be a matter of time before she is off and crawling after her big brother to play with him. She idolizes Kaleb and will just sit and watch everything he is doing! Kaleb has been enjoying being the big brother and is becoming quite the entertainer. He can get her to laugh at times when no one else can!
Karmindy wore her Christmas Dress with her Poinsettia Headband this past week to church and looked so cute in it! I received a lot of compliments on her dress and headband. Here are some of the pictures we took before heading off to church:

Karmindy loves to stick out that cute little tongue of hers!

What a Cute little lady!

When I snapped this picture, I instantly thought of the words to the Christmas song-

"Can you hear what I hear?"

We love you Karmindy! You are so special to your family and are growing up to be such a cute little girl!

SNOW DAY!

Today was the first official day that it snowed! It has snowed up here over the past few months but the snow has never really stayed around long enough for us to enjoy and play in. It was nice to have it not melt before mid morning or early afternoon like it does down in Southern Utah. This was a treat for us to actually have the opportunity to go out and enjoy it before it melted!!
It was fun to watch Kaleb get so excited to go outside and play. He went straight for the snow "shuzel" out in the garage and began shoveling away. After letting Kaleb shovel some of the snow on the lawn we headed to the park across the street to try out our little sled. Mark and Kaleb had a fun time trying to get the sled down the hill. We are going to need some more snow to make it work better but I don't doubt that we will getting more snow in the upcoming weeks!

Look at that enthusiastic smile!

Playing in the snow wouldn't be any fun with out being able to come inside and enjoy some warm cocoa afterwards!

Engaged at Temple Square!

On Friday afternoon, my younger brother Kaden brought his girlfriend Amber up to our home in Northern Utah to spend the weekend with us and pop the "BIG" question! We had a really nice time visiting with them Friday afternoon. Friday night, Kaden took Amber to Temple Square to see the Christmas Lights and then they went to dinner at "The Roof." He proposed to her in front of the Reflecting pond on Temple Square. So Cute! We are so excited for the two of them and I am super excited to get a new Sister-in-law! Congratulations you two! We love you!

A little of this and a little of that!

I have so much to blog about but I didn't want to make individual posts about everything so this particular post is a mod-podge of all the different things the Frisbey Family has been up to for the past couple of weeks!

This year we invested in a smaller tree that I found at Walmart for a whole whopping $35! I was too cheap to buy one for $80-$100! I must admit though, for $35 it is really cute and very compact which we really like!! Our old tree was huge and took forever to set up and also took up the whole living room. We decided to splurge on our new tree because we knew that our old tree would have never fit in our cute little twin house! We set our tree up the last week in November because we knew we wouldn't be able to do it Thanksgiving weekend with being out of town visiting family!

Here is our 2008 Christmas Tree:

Kaleb loved helping decorate the tree this year! We love that he is older now and understands what is going on. It has been so fun to watch his face light up and see him get so excited about Christmas!
One of the fun new things this year that Kaleb seems to be enjoying is moving our little Christmas Countdown daily. We have a little Gingerbread man that you move from pocket to pocket which corresponds with the day. Each morning he wakes up bright and early and runs down stairs to place the gingerbread man in the next pocket. It is really cute to watch. He will ask, "Are we getting closer?" "Is it Christmas time yet?" Also, one of his little friends in the ward brought him over a Christmas countdown. It has little doors that you open and inside is a chocolate and a little picture that you can look at inside the door. He has also loved doing this in the mornings after his Breakfast!

Can you believe it? Karmindy is turning 7 months this month on the 15Th! I can't believe that she is getting closer to being a year old! Where does the time go? Some of Karmindy's milestones for the month are sitting up, eating more solid foods, being on her tummy and rotating in a 360 degree turn, sucking and gnawing on her thumb and teething!

Karmindy is getting very mobile and if she sees something that she wants, she maneuvers over to it. It is amazing to watch her get to where she wants to go by pushing herself around with her arms.
Just the last two weeks, Karmindy has found her thumb! I don't know how excited I am for this because I was a thumb sucker when I was little and it is a terrible habit. It is also really bad for your teeth. (You all know me and my obsession with good teeth!) I am hoping it is because she is teething! I haven't seen any teeth yet but I feel two little bumps on her bottom gums! I can't believe she will get two at one time! Hopefully they will make there appearance soon because she has been really cranky the past few weeks. I feel so bad for her because I know she is miserable.

I can't believe how fast this month is going by! It has been a huge month for reaching milestones at our home! It is so fun to see Karmindy progress and also see Kaleb catch on to knowing his colors and getting to know his alphabet!
I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas Season as much as our Little Family is.
Happy Christmas!

All Aboard the Polar Express!

Tonight we took the kids and headed up Provo Canyon to Heber to ride on the Heber Valley Railroad. They have a train ride that brings to life the book and movie, "The Polar Express." We had so much fun with the kids. We arrived a little early to make sure we had enough time before our train ride started. Before boarding the train, we took advantage of taking a few family photos with all the of the trains that were on display around the railroad station. It was really neat to see all of the old Engines, box cars and passenger cars. One thing that I found really interesting was that the doors to the passenger cars weren't very tall. It was amazing to me to realize how short people were in the early pioneer days.

After taking pictures and passing a little time in the gift shop/station, we were allowed to board the train. While waiting in line, Mrs. Claus came up to Kaleb and visited with him for a few moments. It was so fun to watch his excitement grow after getting to visit with her. We let Kaleb hand our tickets to the conductor as we boarded and he thought he was such a big boy for being able to do so.

Kaleb with Mrs. Claus!

After boarding the train, several elves and a cowboy called the "reindeer rangler" passed out hot chocolate and some of Mrs. Claus' special chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious. While eating and drinking our hot chocolate and cookies the elves told jokes and the "reindeer rangler" read the "The Polar Express" story. It was really neat because the elves passed out individual books to all of the families so they could follow along and read the story together. After reading the Polar Express story together, we stopped at the North Pole and were able to see Santa waving to all the kids out side the passenger car.

After seeing Santa out the side of the passenger car, we started back for the train station. While en route back to the train station, we sang Christmas carols together as a passenger car and then Santa came to each passenger car and took the time to visit with each family and take pictures. While visiting with each family, he had his elves pass out individual bells for each of the kids to take home so they could remember their experience on the Polar Express and not forget to believe in Santa!

Kaleb with Santa! He was so excited to see him!

If you can hear the bell ring you still believe in Santa!

It was really a sweet experience to watch not only our kids but all the other children get so excited and see the joy in their eyes! Our little family outing was a lot of fun and it helped us to get into the christmas spirit. We really enjoyed oursleves and can't wait to go next year!
