Yesterday, Mark and I took the kids and headed to the Hogle Zoo! My sister and her husband were still up visiting and they came along with us for one last family outing before they headed home to Southern Utah. It has been over a year since our last visit so we all had a lot of fun checking out the animals, the bird show, train and carousel again. When we first arrived we headed to the bird show and the kids enjoyed having the different birds fly over head. Some birds flew so close we could have touched them! It was a pretty cool little bird show! After the bird show, we checked out the elephants and the newest edition to the pachyderm clan, baby Zuri. She is the cutest baby elephant! Seeing the elephants was Karmindy's favorite part and she would beg to go see the elephants through the rest of our visit. We went back several times so she could watch them walking about! Kaleb's favorite part of the whole trip was going on the train and seeing the buffalo! After spending most of the morning seeing the animals and bird show, we had lunch and then let the kids go on carousel and train before heading home. We all had fun despite the rather warm temperatures and everyone got a little sun!! I am really glad that we were able to spend time with my sister and her husband for a couple of days!
